Straw & Woven Beach Bags — All Styles
Woven Straw Bags for Summer, Beach and Resort Retail
These styles are woven and assembled in our own workshop, then trimmed with polyester or PU handles, straps and linings. Shapes run from 11 × 1 × 18 cm phone pouches to large beach totes at 45 × 10 × 40 cm, and many of them are already produced in two or more colorways. Colors, straps and linings can all be changed for your order.
Material note: Woven straw here means PP (polypropylene) straw or paper-rope straw, depending on the style — not natural raffia. The straw type for each style is confirmed at quotation.

What kind of straw are these bags made from?
PP (polypropylene) straw or paper-rope straw, depending on the style — not natural raffia. PP straw holds its shape and color and copes better with damp beach use; paper-rope straw has a softer, more matte look closer to natural fibre. We confirm which one a style uses at quotation, and we can quote the same shape in the other material if you prefer it.
Are woven straw bags sturdy enough for retail and shipping?
The straw body is combined with polyester or PU parts where the load sits — handles, straps and, on most styles, a lining. That is what carries the weight rather than the weave itself. Bags on this page weigh 60–740 g, and we recommend approving a sample of the exact style you plan to sell so you can test handle attachment and lining yourself before bulk.
A Category That Sells Against The Calendar
Straw is the most seasonal thing we make, and that is a planning problem before it is a product problem. These four points are what decide whether a summer buy works.
- The window has a start date
- Woven straw moves in a defined season, which cuts both ways: order in winter for spring and the window works for you; order late and the same stock waits twelve months. Production is 15–30 days after sample approval, so count backwards from your first display date.
- Bought in the mood of the trip
- A customer standing in your store in March is thinking about a beach in July. Straw is the first thing they can buy that makes the holiday feel real — an emotional purchase with a very practical trigger, and a reason to merchandise it early rather than in peak summer.
- PP or paper rope decides returns
- PP straw holds shape and colour through damp beach use; paper rope looks more artisanal and is much less happy when wet. Matching the material to the channel is what keeps a resort range from coming back at the end of the season.
- Weight is published per style
- This collection runs from 60 to 740 g a piece — wide enough that it changes your shipping answer, so check the figure on the style page before you commit to a method. In a category where being four weeks late costs the whole season, air freight is worth pricing on the light shapes.
What To Include In Your Inquiry
Send these five things and we can quote in one round:
- Style numbers from this page, or photos of the shapes you need
- Quantity per style and target delivery month
- Straw preference if you have one — PP straw or paper-rope straw
- Color and trim references (handles, lining, strap)
- Label or hangtag requirements, and destination country
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for this collection. Anything else, ask us directly — we reply within 24 hours on business days.
What is the minimum order quantity for straw bags?+
100 pieces per style. Straw bags are seasonal, so most buyers start with two or three shapes at 100 pieces each rather than a deep buy on one.
Can we get straw bags in our own colors?+
Yes, within what the material allows: PP straw is available in a range of dyed colors, and trims, linings and straps are matched to your palette. Send a color reference with your inquiry and we will confirm what is achievable per style.
When should we order for the summer season?+
Work back from your on-shelf date: 15–30 days production plus sampling and shipping. Sea freight to Europe or North America usually means placing bulk orders in winter for a spring launch.
Can you add our logo to a straw bag?+
Yes — usually as a woven or printed label on the lining or a hangtag, since the straw surface itself is not suitable for printing. Send your logo file with the inquiry and we will confirm the placement per style.
Are you building a beach or resort range rather than buying by material?+
Then start from the use case instead of the fibre. The beach and resort bags page puts these woven styles next to the openwork crochet shapes that work in the same range, and covers what a bag has to survive at a beach — wet, sand, load and sun — plus the two different beach customers you are buying for. Come back to this page when you already know you want woven straw and need the material detail.
Is this paper straw or polyester straw?+
Both are in production. What we call woven straw is either PP straw — polypropylene, a polyester-family fibre — or paper-rope straw. PP holds shape and colour and copes with damp; paper rope is softer and closer to natural fibre in look. Neither is natural raffia, and the type for each style is confirmed at quotation.
How to clean a straw bag?+
PP straw takes a damp cloth and air drying. Paper-rope straw should be kept dry and brushed instead. Neither goes in a machine. We can supply this wording for your care label.

Straw bags fail at the handles and the lining long before the weave gives out. What durability really depends on, what to check on the sample, and what to put on the care tag.
