Are these bags crocheted by hand or knitted by machine?
Both techniques are used, depending on the style. Openwork, flower, daisy and tassel styles are crocheted by hand on cotton or cotton-poly yarn; denser mesh and rib styles are knitted. The technique for a specific style is confirmed in writing with your quotation, together with yarn composition and lining, so what you approve on the sample is what runs in bulk.
Which crochet styles fit which sales channel?
Match the shape to how your customer shops. Large openwork totes and shoulder bags (49 × 2 × 47 cm at the top of the range) work as summer statement pieces for boutiques and resort retail; mini crossbody bags and small handbag shapes from 80 g are the easiest to ship and photograph for online stores; embroidered and patch styles suit gift and concept-store programs. Tell us your channel with the inquiry and we will suggest a style mix and quantity split. For a summer range specifically, the beach and resort bags page shows which crochet shapes sit alongside the woven straw styles.
What Handwork Buys You On A Shelf
Crochet is the one category where the customer can verify the claim from a metre away. These are the arguments that hold up in a buying meeting — and the ones worth putting into your own product copy.
- Visible at a distance
- Stitch texture reads as time spent by a person, and shoppers price that in without being told. It is the argument for sitting above the machine-made bag on the next shelf, and it is the only claim on this page a customer can check with their own eyes.
- Variation is the feature
- Handwork means slight differences between pieces. Framed as a defect it costs you returns; framed as authenticity it is the reason the piece gets kept. We set the tolerance against an approved sample rather than promising identical bags — say the same thing to your customer and it stops being a problem.
- 80–600 g a piece
- The whole collection sits in that band. The lighter shapes stay economical to post one at a time for online orders, and even at the top of the range a multi-style buy stays inside a manageable carton count.
- A season costs 100 pieces
- Each style is 100 pcs / style, so a three-style capsule is 300 pieces rather than a container. Sell-through picks next season's range for you, on your own numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for this collection. Anything else, ask us directly — we reply within 24 hours on business days.
What is the minimum order for one crochet style?+
100 pieces per style. Within those 100 pieces you can usually split colorways — the exact split is confirmed at quotation, because it depends on the yarn colors a style uses.
Can you crochet a bag from our own design?+
Yes. Send a photo, sketch or a physical sample and we will make a counter sample for approval before bulk. Handwork styles need the sample step, so plan for it in your season calendar. A design of your own runs 100–2,000 pieces depending on how complex it is to crochet, and bulk takes 15–30 days after approval — we tell you the number when we see the design.
How long does a crochet order take?+
Bulk production is 15–30 days after order and sample confirmation. Handwork capacity is booked per order, so confirm earlier for peak spring and summer deliveries.
How heavy are crochet bags for shipping?+
The styles on this page weigh 80–600 g each, which normally keeps both sea and air freight economical for a first order. Exact carton dimensions and gross weight are quoted with your order.
Do you make granny square bags?+
Yes. The floral crochet styles are built from squares crocheted separately and then joined, which is what granny square describes. Square size, motif and colour placement are set on your order.
Is an openwork crochet bag the same as a mesh bag or a net bag?+
Buyers use all three names for the same thing. On this site the open-stitch styles are listed as openwork — if you are searching for a mesh bag or a net bag, these are the styles you mean.
Do you make hobo bags?+
The soft, unstructured shoulder shapes are what most buyers call a hobo. They are listed here as shoulder bags because that is how the shape is specified in production.
Are crochet bags durable enough to sell?+
Handwork is not the weak point — the joins and the strap fixing are. Both are checked on the counter sample before bulk, which is the stage to pull on the handle and load the bag. Cotton yarn softens with use; cotton-poly holds its shape longer under daily carry.
